Bringing your Pinterest board to life makes me happy!

I had a blast creating these florals for a stunning wedding last weekend!

These beauties were sourced from @moa.stone.estate here in Raglan. How lucky are we that we get to call this work!

To where it all began…my own wedding! Happy 4th we

To where it all began…my own wedding! Happy 4th wedding anniversary my hubby! Fun fact: we have actually never spent a wedding anniversary together yet as he works away on rotation!

I loved my wedding day, and am still obsessed with my wedding crown and earrings from @verbenamadrid It was the best investment I made even though they are still sitting in a box (I can’t bear to part with them!)

A couple of things I loved and would do again:
- I made my bridesmaid bouquets (dried flowers were the trend at the time and decorated my house afterward - I can’t look at them now!) and each bouquet had a handwritten note with the words of the song each bridesmaid entered to. I individualized each bouquet to match each girl - uhh cute!!!
- hired a DJ for the whole day. Not having to worry about playlists and who was going to play our ceremony songs was amazing. The music got the vibe going and set the tone for the day.
- booked my photographer early. The photos were so important to me, so I made sure to get my preferred vendor. I am still obsessed with my photos thanks to @haleyadelephotography
- hired a coordinator. Daria from @soulboundnz was a dream and not having to worry about anything on the day was absolutely worth it!

Things I would do differently:
- I would have hired a florist. I did all the flowers myself which I loved at the time (I have floristry training) but it was a huge thing to worry about beforehand.
- had a first look. Looking back on it, I think this would have saved us so much time on the day, and would have meant we could have had more of cocktail hour with our guests.
- not be pregnant!! 🤣 kind of funny but true! I was early on in my first trimester for our wedding so I felt so ill and tired. We were very blessed and lucky to then have our baby girl, but not having to struggle through the day whilst hiding it from everyone would have been great!!

All in all, spending money on our wedding was so worth it. I always say, it was an investment in our memories. Whilst it wasn’t perfect as it was during the pandemic, we made the best of the situation and had a day all about us.
